SUMMARY:ISTDP Core Training in Hungary | September 2025 Cohort
DESCRIPTION:The second Hungarian ISTDP Core Training group is launching in 2025\, offering a unique opportunity clinicians to deepen their expertise! This three-year hybrid program (combining online and in-person learning) provides intensive training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP)\, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical application. The training will be conducted in English\, welcoming participants from Hungary and abroad.\nThe Core Training features two teachers of ISTDP Sweden. Our dear colleagues of Glenn Kristoffersson and Thomas Hesslow will help participants to deepen their psychodynamic knowledge and practical skills in applying ISTDP\, treating patients with a wide range of problems including depression\, anxiety\, physical symptoms\, relationship issues\, problems of self-worth\, and other patterns of self-defeating behavior. \nCore Training in ISTDP\nThe training group meets for twelve three-day modules over a period of three years from September 2025\, which means one module approximately every three months. In total\, the training consists of 36 full days\, which in total contain approximately 250 teaching hours. Half of the modules will be held in person in Budapest\, half of them via zoom in the first year. \nEach three-day module contains theory\, video observation\, skills training / role-playing and supervision based on the course participant’s own therapy video films. Since many of the training elements are experience-based\, the training takes place in small groups of 6-10 people\, and great emphasis is placed on creating a safe collaborative climate in the group. Between each three-day module\, course participants are expected to continuously watch their own video recordings\, read course literature and do role-playing exercises on their own. Participants are also expected to take individual ISTDP tutoring between each module. Since many of the educational elements are experience based\, great emphasis is placed on creating a good\, compassionate climate of cooperation in the group. \nYear One: Treating Low and Moderate Resistant Patients\nDuring the first year\, the training focuses on skills that aim to establish effective therapeutic collaboration with different types of patients. Particular emphasis is placed on helping the participant to recognize and respond to different types of patient reactions such as emotions\, anxiety reactions and defense. For example\, exercises include structuring the patient’s problems in a structured way\, helping the patient to see and turn towards dysfunctional strategies and to increase the motivation to approach mixed feelings. \n\nModule One: Establishing a Therapeutic Focus\nModule Two: Anxiety\nModule Three: Defenses\nModule Four: Maintaining an Effective Focus\n\nYear Two: The Spectrum of Fragility\nDuring the second year\, the focus is on developing skills for working with patients who have various forms of emotion regulation deficiencies. The participant is introduced to the skills used to work with self-harming behavior\, eating disorder problems\, major depression\, medically unexplained symptoms\, personality problems and psychotic symptoms. In the ISTDP literature\, this is called the graded format. For example\, exercises include increasing the patient’s self-observing ability\, switching between high and low emotional intensity\, dealing with self-critical comments from patients\, and responding to black and white thinking\, denial\, and projections. \n\nModule Five: The Graded Format\nModule Six: Restructuring Regressive Defenses\nModule Seven: Building Self-Observing Capacity\nModule Eight: Restructuring Defensive Affects\n\nYear Three: Highly Resistant Patients\nDuring the third and final year\, the focus is on working with the more challenging techniques within ISTDP for working with patients who are passive\, distant and over-controlled in the therapy room. The participant is also given the opportunity to conceptualize and increase their own emotional capacity to be able to use the more confrontational aspects of the treatment in an empathetic and warm way. For example\, exercises include how to step up the emotional intensity when needed\, how to increase your emotional endurance as a therapist and how to help the patient turn against their own resistance. \n\nModule Nine: Superego Pathology\nModule Ten: Transference Resistance\nModule Eleven: Unlocking the Unconscious\nModule Twelve: Consolidation\n\nIn addition to the ISTDP-specific skills\, the training is permeated by general psychotherapeutic skills\, such as strategies to increase the patient’s expectations of treatment results\, to improve the therapeutic work alliance and to respond to the patient in an empathetic\, warm and genuine way. \nExample structure of a Core Training module\nTarget group and eligibility\nThis ISTDP Core Training is open to registered healthcare professionals from both Hungary and abroad. In Hungary\, eligible participants must hold an „Egészségügyi szolgáltatás nyújtására jogosító Működési engedély\,” which includes psychologists with a healthcare registration (health psychologists\, neuropsychologists\, clinical psychologists)\, psychotherapists\, psychiatrists\, and students currently enrolled in these specialized fields. \nUnfortunately\, individuals who do not meet the criteria of a registered mental health professional – such as MA psychology students or Hungarian psychologists without formal qualifications in clinical psychology\, health psychology\, or neuropsychology – cannot be accepted. We appreciate your understanding. \nCertification\nThe training leads to certification by the ISTDP Institute as an ISTDP therapist. To qualify for certification\, participants must attend all modules and take regular ISTDP supervision throughout the course of the training. There are no grades. The course is accredited by the ISTDP Institute but does not have any official accreditation in Hungary. \nThe organizers are the participants themselves!\nThis training is not formally organized by ISTDP Hungary\, as we are not an official organization. We are simply a group of enthusiastic ISTDP practitioners who are happy to help connect interested colleagues with the teachers and with each other. The training itself is delivered by the teachers\, while the incoming group is responsible for coordinating the practical arrangements directly with the teachers and among themselves. \nSupervision\n\nGroup supervision: In each of the twelve modules each participant will get one hour of supervision in the group.\nIndividual supervision: Between each module each participant is expected to attend one hour of supervision\n\nLiterature\n\nAbbass\, A. (2015) Reaching through the Resistance. Kansas City\, Missouri: Seven Leaves Press.\nCoughlin\, Della Selva\, P. (1996) Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy. London: Karnac Press.\nCoughlin\, P. and Malan\, D. (2006) Lives Transformed. London: Karnac Press.\nFrederickson\, J. (2013) Co-Creating Change: Effective Dynamic Therapy Techniques. (Glenn Kristoffersson)\n\nModule 4: Online\, May 2026 (Glenn Kristoffersson)\nModule 5: Budapest\, September 2026 (Glenn Kristoffersson)\nModule 6: Online\, November 2026 (Glenn Kristoffersson)\nModule 7: Budapest\, March 2027 (Thomas Hesslow)\nModule 8: Budapest\, May 2027 (Thomas Hesslow)\nModule 9: Online\, September 2027 (Thomas Hesslow)\nModule 10: Budapest\, November 2027 (Thomas Hesslow)\nModule 11: Online\, February 2028 (Thomas Hesslow)\nModule 12: Budapest\, May 2028 (Glenn Kristoffersson and Thomas Hesslow)\nExact dates of these modules will be finalized together with the Core Training participants. \nThe cost of each module is 350 USD\, while the compulsory 50-minute supervision between modules is 100 USD per participant. These fees go directly to the teachers. All other organizational tasks and related costs (such as arranging a venue or managing a company with a VAT number to handle payments) are managed collectively by the participants\, on a community basis. \nOur ISTDP Core Trainers\nGlenn Kristoffersson\nGlenn Kristoffersson is a licensed psychologist and works with therapy and supervision at the ISTDP clinic in Stockholm. He teaches at Stockholm University and at the ISTDP Institute’s three-year core training in Stockholm and Budapest and is a teacher and supervisor trained by Jon Frederickson. He is also involved as a therapist in a research project at Stockholm University\, where ISTDP is being tested for treatment-resistant patients with medically unexplained symptoms. \nDuring the years 2020-2024\, Glenn studied with Allan Abbass and John Rathauser\, respectively\, through monthly supervision and participation in advanced courses. \nThomas Hesslow\nThomas Hesslow is a certified psychologist and ISTDP therapist in Malmö\, Sweden. He is a board member of the Swedish Association for ISTDP and one of the founders of the Swedish ISTDP Institute. \nBeside working with therapy\, supervision and education in private practice\, he also teaches at three different Universities: University of Stockholm\, Lund University and also in the Högskolan SAPU which is the Scandinavian Academy for Psychotherapy. Before specializing in ISTDP\, he worked also with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). \nRegistration of interest\nPlease fill in the form here or go to: https://forms.gle/P6tRXuhY4BGAQxoh6 \nBetöltés… \nPhoto: Image by rawpixel.com on Freepik

SUMMARY:Szorongáskezelés a terápiában
DESCRIPTION:Thomas Hesslow svéd klinikai pszichológus 2024.11.20-án este angol nyelvű\, páciensvideókkal illusztrált előadást tart Budapesten arról\, hogyan dolgozik az Intenzív rövid dinamikus pszichoterápia a szorongással.\nSzorongás a terápiában\nPszichoterápiák egyik központi szereplője a nem szabályozott szorongás\, amely komoly pszichés és szomatikus tünetekhez vezethet. Ő a Journal of Contemporary ISTDP főszerkesztője. \nA résztvevők\nA három órás budapesti előadásra egészségügyi végzettséggel rendelkező pszichológusok (alkalmazott egészségpszichológiai szakpszichológus\, klinikai és mentálhigiéniai szakpszichológus\, neuropszichológiai szakpszichológus\, MSc Pszichológia végzettséggel rendelkezők)\, valamint pszichiáterek\, orvosok\, pszichoterapeuták jelentkezhetnek alapnyilvántartási engedély számuk megadásával. SUMMARY:Terápia egy ördögűzővel - hogyan dolgozzunk szomatikus tünetekkel a pszichoterápiában?
DESCRIPTION:2024. május 17-én egy irritábilis bél szindróma és szklerózis multiplex tüneteivel élő 60 éves páciens kezelése követhető végig Jon Frederickson háromórás terápiás ülésének videóvetítésén.\nJon Frederickson\, Habib Davanloo tanítványa\, az Intenzív Rövid Dinamikus Pszichoterápia prominens képviselője videóvetítéssel egybekötött egynapos ONLINE workshopot tart 2024. május 17-én. \nA Magyar Orvosi Kamara jóvoltából szervezett esemény szinkrontolmácsolással zajlik\, így reméljük sokan lehetünk tanúi Frederickson terápiás munkájának. \nEgy ördögűző terápiája\nEz a videóra rögzített pszichoterápiás eset megmutatja nekünk\, hogyan dolgozik az Intenzív rövid dinamikus pszichoterápia (ISTDP) a szorongással és a szomatizációval. \nA szklerózis multiplex és irritábilis bél szindróma évtizedes kórelőzményével élő hatvanéves férfi dühkitörései miatt keresett pszichoterápiás segítségek. SUMMARY:Biztonságos kötődés megteremtése a pszichoterápiában
DESCRIPTION:Jon Frederickson\, Habib Davanloo tanítványa\, az Intenzív Rövid Dinamikus Pszichoterápia prominens képviselője videóvetítéssel egybekötött egynapos workshopot tart Budapesten 2023. november 17-én.\nA pácienseknek van egy csoportja\, akiknél korábbi traumáik miatt a terapeutával való találkozás kibírhatatlan érzéseket\, így erőteljes szorongást és regresszív elhárításokat hoz működésbe. Ezek az emberek segítséget várnak a gyakran évtizedek óta tartó szenvedésükre\, de a terapeuta kínálta kapcsolat életük legrosszabb társas élményeik megelevenedését kockáztatja\, ezért a kötödés egyben rettenet forrásává is válik. Ebben a lehetetlen helyzetben feladatunk segíteni a pácienst a biztonságos kötődés lehetőségének megteremtésében\, a fantázia és valóság megkülönböztetésében\, a szorongás szabályozásában és az érzelmek szavakká formálásában\, hogy a terápiás munka megkezdődhessen. \nEhhez a nehéz pszichoterápiás munkához kapunk segítséget Jon Fredericksontól\, aki egy konkrét kezelésén keresztül megismertet minket a Davanloo-féle Intenzív Rövid Dinamikus Pszichoterápia (ISTDP) néhány fontos elemével is. \nA videón bemutatott pszichoterápiás folyamatban egy gyógyulófélben lévő drogfüggő pácienst kísérhetünk\, aki droghasználatra biztató hangokat hall. Gyermekkorában fizikailag bántalmazták és szexuálisan molesztálták\, apja elhagyta\, függővé vált\, majd prostituáltként dolgozott\, hogy eltartsa magát\, végül a drogrehabilitációs osztályon kötött ki\, ahol minden létező kezelési kísérletnek ellenállt. SUMMARY:Strengthen the Therapeutic Alliance
DESCRIPTION:In this free online workshop for licensed psychologists on the 29th of September\, 2023\, Matthew Jarvinen\, PhD. presents video recordings of therapy sessions to help you to improve the Therapeutic Alliance.\nTherapeutic Alliance\nWhat has psychotherapy research demonstrated to be the single greatest factor in increasing client satisfaction\, improving effectiveness\, and decreasing dropouts? \nThe therapeutic alliance. \nIn this learning gathering\, Dr. Jarvinen will help you identify and enhance the 4 aspects of the therapeutic alliance: \n\ngetting agreement on the problems;\ngetting agreement on the cause of problems and barriers to progress;\ngetting agreement on the therapeutic tasks which will address those causes and barriers; and\ngetting agreement on the roles the client and therapist play in those tasks.\n\nWith a combination of PowerPoint presentation\, skill building exercises\, and video demonstration\, Dr. Jarvinen will show how Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) establishes the therapeutic alliance in the initial session and then maintains the quality of the alliance in following sessions. \nISTDP is an accelerated model of dynamic psychotherapy\, comprising a set of powerful interventions to alleviate symptoms of emotional distress and to promote mental health in a rapid and cost-effective way. This method can be one of the most effective\, transformative\, and emotionally powerful forms of therapy. However\, without special attention to the alliance\, it can also lead to misalliances\, dropouts\, and treatment failures. This presentation will help you identify the most common alliance-related pitfalls\, as well as how to avoid them. \nWhether you are are working with CBT\, hypnotherapy\, person-centered therapy\, psychoanalysis\, symboltherapy\, somatic therapies\, DREAM or ISTDP\, we invite you to learn more on how to improve your work with your clients! \nPresenter\nMatthew Jarvinen\, PhD.\n Dr. Matthew Jarvinen is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). He has completed IEDTA-certified core training with Jon Frederickson and has received additional supervision from Allan Abbass\, Robert Neborsky\, Patricia Coughlin\, Josette ten Have-de Labije\, and Steve Shapiro. He also founded the ISTDP San Diego Community with Tami Chelew\, which hosts regular trainings in ISTDP\, and he currently serves on the Board of the IEDTA as the Chair of Community and Membership Committee. His clinical specialties include trauma\, addiction\, and spirituality\, including integrating ISTDP with research on Attachment to God. He currently works in private practice in Encinitas\, CA and supervises therapists through his group practice\, which specializes in providing emotional health resources to the public\, including a free emotional fitness program based on ISTDP principles. \nParticipants\nThis is a workshop open to registered healthcare professionals from all over the world\, including: \n\npsychologists with a healthcare registration (in Hungary: health psychologists\, neuropsychologist\, clinical psychologists)\,\npsychotherapists\,\npsychiatrists or\nstudents of the above fields.\n\nOur apologies\, at the same time people who don’t fit the „registered mental health professional” criteria above\, like for example \n\nHungarian psychologists without clinical psychology or health psychology or neuropsychology certificate/studies\,\nHungarian MA psychology or PhD students\, where the final qualification doesn’t lead to a healthcare registration\n\nwon’t be accepted. \nDetails\nDate – September 29\, 2023. \nTime – 18:00-20:00 CET / 9:00-11:00 PDT \nPlatform – Virtual Workshop via Zoom. SUMMARY:Medically unexplained physical symptoms: causation and treatment
DESCRIPTION:On the 24th of February\, 2023 ISTDP Hungary organizes an online event with Dr. Maury Joseph for health care professionals about the causation\, maintenance\, and treatment of Medically Unexplained Physical Symptoms.\nDo you have a troubled group of patients with chronic fatigue\, pain\, insomnia\, gastrointestinal problems or headache\, where the cause of their symptoms are uncertain?\nPlease join us in February and Dr. Maury Joseph will help you to understand those patients better by considering emotional and stress-related factors of their suffering to lessen the burden of the diffuse symptoms on their physical\, mental\, social\, and vocational well being. \nThe event is sponsored by the Hungarian Medical Association. \nMedically Unexplained Symptoms and emotions\nThe emotional centers of the brain connect with every physical structure of the body through the nervous system. As a result\, our emotional responses to events in our world have a physiological component. When the physiological component of our psychological experience is subjectively distressing\, we may seek somatic treatments for what is ultimately a psychological problem.\n\nWhen our physical symptoms are caused by or exacerbated by emotional factors\, they can be difficult or impossible to solve using a purely somatic medical approach. The symptoms or syndromes may be labeled with descriptions like “fibromyalgia”\, “irritable bowel syndrome”\, or “chest pain”\, but they remain “medically unexplained”. If the emotional contributors to the symptoms are not detected\, treatment can devolve into a seemingly never-ending process of specialist referrals\, tests\, prescriptions\, and procedures that yield little more than placebo\, at best. This process can exacerbate symptoms\, due to repeated cycles of false hope and disappointment for the patient; and it can also lead to burnout for the treating physicians. \nHowever\, if psychological factors can be detected\, appropriate referrals can be made earlier in the process\, leading to better outcomes and increased satisfaction for both patients and their doctors. \nAbout the MUS event in February\nThe goal of this presentation is to sensitize medical doctors to some of the psychological patterns that can cause or contribute to physical symptom presentations\, so that they may be more likely to detect the psychological aspects of causation and render appropriate referrals. \nThis presentation will cover 6 major psychological patterns that can cause or contribute to psychosomatic presentations: \n\nStriated muscle anxiety\,\nSmooth muscle anxiety\,\nAnxiety in the form of cognitive and perceptual disruption\,\nConversion\,\nSomatization\,\nHealth anxiety.\n\nThe presentation will also cover a method of focused interviewing that can help physicians to elicit and detect important diagnostic information during patient visits. Video examples will help illustrate various patient responses. \nParticipants\nAll participants must be licensed health care professionals or registered students in such a program and adhere to the confidentiality agreement below. Licensed health care professionals in Hungary has an „Egészségügyi szolgáltatás nyújtására jogosító Működési engedély”. \nDr. Maury Joseph\nDr. Maurice Joseph\nMaury Joseph\, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Washington\, DC and Pennsylvania. His training and expertise is in both short-term and long-term models of psychodynamic therapy\, which he uses flexibly and integratively. Along with Joseph Cooper\, Ph.D. he co-founded the Institute for Emotions and Health in DC\, a practice focused on diagnosis and treatment of medically unexplained physical symptoms\, psychophysiologic disorders\, and stress-related physical symptoms. Dr. Joseph served as faculty chair of the Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy training program at the Washington School of Psychiatry\, and was a faculty member there from 2015-2020. He also served as an assistant clinical faculty member at George Washington University and adjunct faculty at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology\, offering courses and supervision to clinical psychology doctoral students. He currently offers weekly private seminars on psychoanalytic listening and interpersonal/relational psychoanalysis. He enjoys writing and presenting about therapy to students and professionals. SUMMARY:Rerun - ISTDP with borderline patients
DESCRIPTION:On the 9th of December\, we rerun the recorded workshop: „ISTDP with borderline patients”\, including patient videos\, followed by a LIVE 30-minute discussion.\nFeedback from the original event: „It was a touching and uplifting experience to see\, hear and feel Thomas Hesslow with his patient. The sustaining power of the moment-to-moment accompaniment enabled the patient to move from self-loathing and security of „madness” into a safe space for herself and her emotions through months of collaborative effort.” \nAbout ISTDP\nIntensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) is an accelerated model of dynamic psychotherapy\, comprising a set of powerful interventions to alleviate symptoms of emotional distress and to promote mental health. While firmly rooted in psychoanalytic theory\, ISTDP might be briefer than analytic treatments and require a more active stance from the therapist. It is experiential\, which means that one important therapeutic task is to contact the patient’s conflicted emotions as here-and-now bodily experiences while also promoting cognitive insight into how avoiding such experiences was the root cause of the patient’s difficulties. \nBorderline level of character structure\nIf a parent cannot or does not respond to the child\, the child’s attachment longings will be frustrated. Children without secure attachment will suffer from patterns of pathology such as fragile character structure and borderline personality organization. They will suffer from the consequences of massive pain\, rage\, and guilt due to their attachment efforts being thwarted. They rely on primitive defenses against experiencing anxiety\, including projection\, splitting\, and projective identification\, leading to a poor ability to maintain an integrated self. \nThese patients are very difficult to treat\, and a cautious approach is warranted in providing any form of psychotherapy with various support structures like psychiatric backup. In treatment\, a gradual exposure to mixed feelings is necessary\, to build the capacity to bear feelings without anxiety moving into cognitive/perceptual disruption and without using the defenses of splitting and projection. This format requires the therapist to use only very low levels of feeling in the session tailored to the patient’s very low level of affect tolerance. The workshop illuminates some aspects of this advanced\, modified ISTDP framework applicable with this group. \nClinical case material on video will be shown to illustrate processes. \nParticipants\nAll participants must be licensed mental health professionals or registered students in such a program in Hungary and adhere to the confidentiality agreement below. \nLicensed mental health professionals in Hungary has an „Egészségügyi szolgáltatás nyújtására jogosító Működési engedély” and are working in the Hungarian healthcare system: \n\npsychologists with a healthcare registration (health psychologists\, neuropsychologist\, clinical psychologists)\,\npsychotherapists\,\npsychiatrists or\nstudents of the above fields.\n\nOur apologies\, at the same time people who don’t fit the „Hungarian licensed mental health professional working/studying in Hungary” criteria above\, like \n\ngot their degrees\, are registered or working in other countries\,\nHungarian MA psychology or PhD students\, where the final qualification doesn’t lead to a healthcare registration\,\npsychologists without clinical psychology or health psychology or neuropsychology certificate/studies\, etc\n\nwon’t be accepted. \nDetails\nThomas Hesslow\nDate – 9 December\, 2022. \nTime – 9:00-12:00 CET \nPlatform – Virtual Workshop via Zoom. SUMMARY:ISTDP Core training in Hungary
DESCRIPTION:The Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy Core Training is a three-year online and in-person education program that aims to deepen both the theoretical understanding and the practical application of ISTDP for Hungarian clinicians working in the Hungarian healthcare system. Great emphasis is on individualized experience-based elements where the individual training participant is given the opportunity to develop their psychotherapeutic craftsmanship. The language of the training will be English. \nGet together\nGlenn Kristoffersson will do a presentation on October 1\, 2022\, 13:00-15:00\, on the topic of clinical thinking from Jon Frederickson’s upcoming book: ”Clinical Thinking in Psychotherapy: How to do it and how to teach it”. This might be a great topic to be introduced to the learning model of the Core training as it differs from traditional teaching and then we will have plenty of time for Q&A and to have some coffee together. The event will be held online\, via zoom. \nPre-CORE Training\nThis introductory course covers three full days – October 20-21-22\, 2022\, 9:00-17:00 – and will include lectures\, film screenings from therapy sessions and role-plays where you will have the opportunity to practice specific skills. The theory behind ISTDP will be interspersed with practical exercises. We will focus on your work alliance with the patient\, on identifying and regulating anxiety at different levels and on recognizing and working with different types of resistances in the therapy process – all so that you can work with the patient to achieve their goals. Virtual event. \nCORE Training\nThe training group meets for twelve three-day modules over a period of three years from November 2022\, which means one module approximately every three months. In total\, the training consists of 36 full days\, which in total contain approximately 250 teaching hours. One quarter of the modules will be held in person in Budapest\, 75% of them via zoom. For example\, exercises include structuring the patient’s problems\nin a structured way\, helping the patient to see and turn towards dysfunctional strategies and to increase the motivation to approach mixed feelings. The participant is introduced to the skills used to\nwork with self-harming behavior\, eating disorder problems\, major depression\, medically unexplained symptoms\, personality problems and psychotic symptoms. \nExample structure of a Core Training module\nTarget group and eligibility\nThis is a workshop open to registered Hungarian healthcare professionals (holding an „Egészségügyi szolgáltatás nyújtására jogosító Működési engedély„) who are working/studying in the Hungarian healthcare system\, including: \n\npsychologists with a healthcare registration (health psychologists\, neuropsychologist\, clinical psychologists)\,\npsychotherapists\,\npsychiatrists or\nstudents of the above fields.\n\nOur apologies\, at the same time people who don’t fit the „Hungarian registered mental health professional working/studying in Hungary” criteria above\, like \n\ngot their degrees\, are registered or working in other countries\,\nMA psychology students\,\npsychologists without a clinical psychology or health psychology or neuropsychology certificate/studies\, etc\n\nwon’t be accepted. \nAdmission and training times\nThe admission process contains an online interview of 30 minutes. The group meets 4 times a year\, one of them will be held in person in Budapest\, the 3 other modules will be held via zoom. \n\n\n\nTopic\nDate\nTime\n\n\nIntroduction to the training and get to know each other\nOctober 1.\, 2022\n13:00-15:00\n\n\nPre-Core training\nOctober 20-21-22\, 2022\n9:00-17:00\n\n\nCore training\, Module 1\nNovember 24-25-26\, 2022\n9:00-17:00\n\n\nCore training\, Module 2\nFebruary 16-17-18\, 2023\n9:00-17:00\n\n\nCore training\, Module 3\nMay 11-12-13\, 2023\n9:00-17:00\n\n\n\nExamination and certification\nThe education leads to the ISTDP Institute’s certification as an ISTDP therapist. For certification\, attendance at all modules is required and that the participant regularly takes ISTDP supervision during the course of the training. There are no grades. \nThe course is accredited by the ISTDP Institute and do not have any accreditation in Hungary. \nSupervision\n\nGroup supervision: In each of the twelve modules each participant will get one hour of supervision in the group.\nIndividual supervision: Between each module each participant will get one hour of supervision\n\nLiterature\n\nAbbass\, A.
